Story
On 02/02/2021 my daughter Veronica was stillborn. It was the most traumatic and heartbreaking experience of my life that changed us forever, we will never be the same people. Nothing can ever prepare you for the loss and burial of your own child and going into hospital knowing we’d be leaving without her was beyond excruciating. The only light was the care package we received from Bears of Hope containing supportive materials, a photo album of my beautiful angel and a teddy bear kindly donated from another grieving family in honour of their angel.
This organisation is so important and I know my wife has received so much support and care in the toughest and darkest periods of our lives, through the kindness and love that bears of hope provides.
This winter I am committed to making a difference and raising awareness around pregnancy and infant loss by growing a beard for a great cause – Bears Of Hope Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support.Click ‘Donate’ to support my efforts by making a secure donation, you can also post a message of support! Bears Of Hope Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support is an Australian not-for-profit organisation, providing leading support and exceptional care for families who experience the loss of their baby.
We provide exclusive and invaluable support programs that include a credible foundation of parent led and psychologist facilitated support groups, private online peer to peer support communities, phone, face to face, online and email counselling and annual community events that remember individual baby’s and recognize their parents love. Bears Of Hope comfort, acknowledge, inform, empower, and guide families during their time of loss and beyond.
As a registered non-profit organisation we are dedicated to the care of others and reinvesting our finances and resources to ensure the mental health needs and wellbeing of parents are being met and embraced for as long as as required.
